I checked the voltage at the TPS and adjusted it so that it now ranges between .45 to 3.9V, as measured at the TPS connector. Idle speed jumped up to 1400rpm. Timing shows 15 Deg. BTDC with the cam shaft sensor rotated completely clockwise. Sorry if this is a trivial issue. I have a steep learning curve here - it’s been many years since I worked on a car (with a distributor and carburetor). I need to figure out why the rpm is now so high and why I cannot retard the timing more. Thanks in advance for any advise.
